Argumentation for preventive protection
The State Institute for Nature Protection draws up its argumentation for the preventive protection of an area if it deems the area to have or could have characteristics worth protecting, and it faces a real threat of devastation.
Permanent protection
The procedure for proclaiming a protected area begins at the State Institute for Nature Protection, where the value of an area is determined. Based on this, the expert foundation is drafted to propose the method of protection and best management regime for the area.
Baseline study for permanent protection
The State Institute for Nature Protection drafts an expert base proposal for the protection of an area in order to establish the value and define the best management methods for the areas. The expert base proposal contains a detailed description of the area's characteristics and values, an assessment of the state of the area, the consequences stemming from the proclamation of protection, in particular regarding ownership rights and existing commercial activities, and an assessment and source of the necessary funds to implement the act proclaiming a protected area.
